I met Victor Fá for the first time about 5years ago.

FourthCanvas sponsored an event I organized in Akure, and he was to speak on the panel session. And from that day, we formed a bond that has grown into inspiring results in life and business.

The theme of this event was achieving my dream Nigeria through Technology. TL-R: Tunji Ogunoye, Joel Adeniyi, Joel Ogunsola, O’gbemiro, Evi Uwede, Olufemi Iroko, Emmanuel Odunlade, Usman Abiola, Victor FA & Kitan David

I talk a lot here about how partnerships and friendships can inspire you to do amazing things, and this one right here is one for the books.

I will celebrate him today by sharing one of the elements guiding his life — empathy and openness.

He firmly believes that everybody should be treated equally and with value, and if you are on the team, a big part of that process is that everything is on the table for you to see. “If you are good enough to be on the table, you have a chance at anything on the menu, or at least, you are clear about what comes to you,” is an illustration that captures it for me.

From my experience, this is a powerful way to lead a pack of wolves (See Scott McCall in Teen Wolf).

The Akure Studio circa 2016. Spot Bolaji, the silent co-founder most people don’t know about ❤️

I have observed two ways to engender loyalty based on things and institutions that I have seen around me, fear and conviction, and If I have the chance to choose, I will always go for the latter. And Fá has been able to drive it over the last few years.

It’s a great day, have a blast.
